Change Detection Research Interests
My research interests in change detection focus on properties of visual short term memory (VSTM) and attentional selection. In collaboration with Yuhong Jiang and Daeyeol Lee, we've examined three questions: 1) What is the unit of storage? 2) How is VSTM organized? 3) What is the relation between selective attention and VSTM maintenance? In a related line of work, my lab studies how long-term visual experience influences perception.

Other Research Interests
Attentional blink, repetition blindness, visual search, perceptual learning, executive control, and especially functional imaging of the neural mechanisms involved
